What a read! If you've read any of Adrienne Thompson's novels before, you know that she just doesn't do sweet, light-hearted reads. She takes her characters through some things, and we, the readers can't help but strap ourselves in and get ready for the ride. I truly felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster ride while reading this book. I gasped, got mad, then anxious, then teary-eyed. I read it at the hair salon and my stylist kept looking at me like I was crazy, lol.In this book, we get yet another look at blues singer, Bobbi. Bobbi has a lot of issues, and instead of being sympathetic to her, I must confess that she irritated the heck out of me. She just got on my nerves. I kept thinking she was so blessed, why can't she just settle down and enjoy her life? But her demons were pretty strong (and that's not this author's style). Now, I've loved Reggie since the first book, but when the story takes a turn and things get crazy, I was super confused and started giving the author a mental side eye and screaming, no, not Reggie! I'm so glad this book was not that long, cause when the suspense kicked in, it kicked ALL the way in, and I had to know how things would be resolved.
Bobbi's niece Tomeka also had a storyline which was interesting. I rolled my eyes so hard every time Tomeka got a letter from Abraham, thinking he was running game on her, and was completely shocked with the way things unfolded with those two. We were left with a bit of a cliffhanger, so I'm hopeful that we'll get a follow-up story on them. I can't even begin to imagine what Ms. Thompson is gonna take them through.

I downloaded this book when it first came out but needed to wait for my vacation to read it because as I figured, I stayed up reading it in a few hours. I knew the characters would come alive and I would not be able to put the book up. As usual Adrienne Thompson did it again! I hope I will not be too sleepy to walk in the morning. Great read
Adrienne Thompson has done it again………Blues In the Key of B……..excellent and well done. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat…so many emotions. Bobbie Ann is dealing with postpartum after having her baby, Faith. We need to remember to have faith in God. With God all things are possible……Excellent book…
Bobbie Ann is finally happy or is she? Overwhelmed with a new baby, Bobbi's depression has returned since giving birth to her baby girl, Faith. Bobbi's niece, Tomeka is struggling with her an issues. Her father, Junior, is serving time for killing her mother. She alone in this world. Both Bobbi and Tomeka are facing challenges neither one are ready to face.
This story grabs you from the first page! I love Ms. Thompson's characters and once again she has written a story that is is hard to put down. I am looking forward to the next installer of this series!!!
I thought the book was okay. I am glad that she married her lost love and have a child. I was not sure how a stranger could be such a friend to her and the family in the book, but he knew nothing of her. I think the only thing they had in common was that they had been involved with AAA and that he had messed up his life. I enjoyed reading it, I think there would be another book involved with the niece that had ran off with a guy that was much older for her and the fact that he was released from the prison.
This series was great! The author drew you in with the realism of the characters and the detail throughout the story. There were so many good twists and turns that just made me want to keep reading more and more.

Blues In the Key of B is an excellent book and well done. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. Has so many emotions. I feel like Bobbie Ann is part of my family.
The story line is great and will have you not wanting to put the book down
I just had to know what was going to happen next.

If you looking for a great series to read. This is it. Each book has been excellent.
This third book in the Bluesday series started out a little differently for me. Bobbie Ann is dealing with postpartum blues and having difficulty bonding with her baby, Faith, and then we're introduced to her niece Tomeka and we're dropped into her teenage world and made privy to her secret relationship. Bobbi gets help and gets a handle on her issue with her baby and that's when author Adrienne Thompson releases the break and we take the proverbial roller coaster ride. Then just when things settle back down for Bobbi, Tomeka upends the family's world again. As usual Ms. Thompson gives us characters and a plot that are so real you no longer read the story, you step into it. If you haven't read any of the books in this series yet or any of her others, you're going to want to get caught up. I have the feeling she's just getting warmed up.
